Model Content Frameworks – give an overview to how we can structure curriculum to best support the transition to the new standards and assessment.
Evidence statement tables and evidence statements describe the knowledge and skills that an assessment item or a task elicits from students. These are aligned directly to the Common Core State Standards, and highlight their advances especially around the coherent nature of the standards.
The Performance Level Descriptors describe the academic knowledge, skills, and practices students must demonstrate to show they are college and career ready. PLDs will provide a strong indicator of college and career readiness that can be used to set performance goals at any level and show progress towards those goals. Students who attain a CCR Determination in ELA will have direct entry into relevant entry-level, credit-bearing courses without need for remediation.
